I went out shooting for the first time after a 3 month break, Cambridge didn't disappoint. The cosmos threw me a few bones of encouragement & I came away with some shots I love. This shot being one of them, In fact I bl00dy love this shot, textures, colours and whole 9 yards innit. I've got the bug back. I did however park in a short stay car park & got charged £30 for 6 hours, good lord, Cambridge is the new Brighton of parking.
I was working in London one week and for some reason, The Ritz was on my mind. I thought with my infinite wisdom, if I could squeeze the Ritz sign in with someone wearing a cool hat - I'd have a shot on my hands.
I'm wasn't even sure if this is good shot to start with, I saw the red sock and b lined for it. It was a bonus when the lady (questionable) wrapped her foot around into frame. I feel it adds to a story we don't know know about.
I saw fella here on the way to Liverpool Street station. I liked his get up & the way the background kinda worked with the subject.
To start with , no I didn't push it out the window. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, i present to you exibit Gen Z, a nondescript undisclosed specimen, beached & off their face. Broadstreet Birmingham is a hotbed of intoxicated shenanigans on a Thursday, I'm sure it gets worse the further into the weekend it gets. I officially sound old. I took this from my hotel window.
Cambridge. While sheltering from the persistent rain that day, a bus stopped at a red in front of me, I saw the bloke here, I miss focused but I'm pleased i got the blue in frame. Boring story yes, but it's a story none the less.
45 minutes outside a busy John Lewis on Oxford street playing with reflections, that's normal right?
Loitering in between America candy stores on Oxford street I see this poster. I tried to get something to work, and only thing i succeeded in was looking like a bit of a weirdo in the busy lunch time rush.
Some 85mm action, i think this will be my lens of choice for street. I hit Chinatown & soho for a few hours after work one night after work. It wasn't as busy as normal but I still managed to get a few shots I'm happy with....like Mr vape here.
Just as a thunder storm was ending on Tottenham court road road. Umbrellas, lighting, reflections & a sprinkle of abstraction. The photography gods smiled on me for that one particular hour of my life.
So I took this one night after work in soho before the football dragged me kicking and screaming into a nearby pub. I saw the condensation, young lady and lighting. This I thought would make a semi interesting candid shot.
Umbrella action with a sprinkle of atmosphere & synchronisation. I've had quite a bit of joy on this little corner of soho
I took this shot on a whim because I liked the red reflection, turns out i got a little bit extra than I planned.
Somewhere down St benedicts Street in Norwich is a flamingo. That's it, that's the description
